In response to the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has made adjustments to the SWAYAM January 2024 semester examination dates, originally set for May 25. The new exam dates are May 18, 19, 26, and 27, respectively, as announced by NTA in their recent notification inviting online applications for the examination.
Exam Details
- SWAYAM, short for Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds, is a central government initiative aimed at realising the core principles of the education policy: access, equity, and quality. It serves as a digital bridge for students and offers online certification programmes covering various subjects.
- The National Testing Agency conducts SWAYAM semester exams in computer-based or hybrid modes (CBT mode and paper pen mode).
- The SWAYAM January semester examinations will have a duration of 180 minutes. Two shifts are scheduled for the exam days, from 9AM to noon and 3PM to 6PM, as outlined in the notification, which also provides a detailed schedule categorised by subject and shift.
- With the exception of language courses, the question papers will be in English.
Prospective candidates can submit their application forms for the Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM) January 2024 semester before the deadline on April 18, through the official website exams.nta.ac.in.
The application form correction window will be available from April 20 to April 22. As for the release date of the admit cards, it will be communicated at a later date.
