A bench led by Chief Justice of India (CJI) D Y Chandrachud, alongside Justices J B Pardiwala and Manoj Misra, acknowledged the submissions presented by lawyer Anas Tanwir regarding this issue. The court has confirmed that the matter will be listed for hearing on Friday.

The petition highlights that many candidates have been allocated cities that are difficult for them to access. With test city allocations made on July 31 and specific centres to be announced on August 8, the plea asserts that the limited timeframe hampers candidates' ability to arrange travel, reported the PTI.

The plea, filed by Vishal Soren, requests the issuance of a writ of Mandamus to the National Testing Agency, demanding a rescheduling of the NEET-PG 2024 examination.

Originally scheduled for June 23, the NEET-PG exam was postponed by the Union Health Ministry due to concerns over alleged irregularities in other competitive exams.
