Summit India, in association with Tech Avant-Garde (TAG), has announced the launch of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam Education Summit 2022, a three-month-long event on the changing education landscape in India. The summit will kick off with a three-day virtual conference from January 20 to 22, 2022, with an inaugural message by the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind.

The conference that will kickstart the summit will feature talks by policymakers, thought leaders and prominent educationists from across the country discussing the nuances of NEP 2020 and hybrid learning. Some of the speakers of the event are Annpurna Devi, minister of state for education India Rajeev Chandrashekhar, minister for state for skill Development entrepreneurship, electronic and IT, Renuka Singh, minister of state for tribal affairs, M.K Sridhar, member of the NEP 2020 drafting committee, Anil D Sahasrabudhe, chairman AICTE, Sridhar Shrivastava, director NCERT,. Biswajit Saha, director - skill & training, CBSE, K.V Vincent, national secretary, ASISC, Atul Kothari, national secretary, Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan, Vinnie Jauhari, director – education advocacy, Microsoft India, and Kirti Seth, CEO, NASSCOM.

Discussing the genesis of the summit, Shyam Jaju, Chairman, Summit India, said, “To take the vision and mission of NEP 2020 forward, we are organising ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – Virtual Education Summit 2022’ where we will be discussing the National Education Policy (NEP) and its importance. NEP was approved by the Union Cabinet of India outlining the vision of a new education system in India. NEP will enhance our education system to meet international standards, which will have a direct impact on our future generations.”

Following the conference, there will be weekly panel discussions held from January 29 till April 9. These discussions will delve deeper into the various challenges and opportunities in the education world arising from a digitally transformed, post-pandemic world. The three-month-long summit will focus on NEP 2020, Digital Transformation and Holistic Learning (DTHL) and the role of hybrid learning in enabling the Indian education system to re-invent itself and evolve into a robust framework that is in tune with the needs of the digital-native student.


The summit will open dialogues between thought leaders, bureaucrats, policymakers, industry players and educationists. With the pandemic induced turmoil, there is a lack of clarity about the best way forward. These events have been designed to offer educationists guidance in a collaborative yet flexible manner.
