The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced an extension of the registration deadline for the Grade C Stenographers Limited Departmental Exam for the years 2018 and 2019. Candidates now have until October 3 to complete their registration for the exam, which can be done on the official website, ssc.nic.in.
Initially, the deadline for registration was set for September 25. The decision to extend the deadline was made in response to reported difficulties faced by some candidates while filling out the online application form.
In an official notice, the SSC stated, "As some difficulties in filling up the online application form have been reported to the Commission by the candidates, the Commission has decided to extend the last date for receipt of online application form from 25.09.2023 to 03.10.2023. Therefore, the last date of receipt of the online application form of Grade ‘C’ Stenographers Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, 2018 & 2019 shall be 03.10.2023."
The SSC Stenographer Grade C notification was initially released on September 4. The examination aims to fill a total of 224 vacancies for the recruitment year 2018 and 160 vacancies for 2019. The exam will be conducted in Delhi and seeks to add qualified candidates to the Grade C stenographers' list for various prestigious services, including the Central Secretariat Stenographers Services, Indian Foreign Service Branch (B) Stenographers, Armed Forces Headquarters Stenographers Service, Railway Board Secretariat Stenographers Service, and Election Commission of India Stenographers Service.
