SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024: Registration for 2006 vacancies begins at ssc.gov.in; Know eligibility here

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) commenced the SSC stenographer registration process for recruitment of approximately 2,006 vacancies. Interested candidates who have skills in stenography are eligible to apply for the vacancies through the official website- ssc.gov.in.

The SSC stenographer exam is tentatively scheduled to be held in October - November. The last date to apply for SSC Stenographer is August 17 up to 11 pm. The online portal to pay the registration fee will be closed at 11 pm on August 18 and the window to make corrections in the submitted application form will be opened on August 27.

Applicants will have to pay Rs 100 as registration fee. However, female candidates and those belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and Ex-servicemen (ESM) are exempted from payment of fee.

The computer-based test (CBT) will be held for recruitment to the “posts of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ (Group ‘B’, NonGazetted) and Stenographer Grade ‘D’ (Group ‘C’) in various ministries, departments, organisations including their attached offices, subordinate offices and statutory bodies of the Government of India located in various states and Union Territories”.
