SSC Constable GD Registration begins for 26146 posts - Check Eligibility, Age limit

Good news for candidates willing to make a career in the armed forces. The staff Selection Commission has commenced the registrations for SSC GD Constable 2024. Candidates willing to apply for the position can apply online through the official website of SSC at ssc.nic.in. Through this recruitment process, eligible candidates will be selected for Constable (General Duty) positions in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles.

Details of the Vacancy

Through this recruitment process, a total of 26146 candidates will be selected for the CAPFs like Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo Tibetan Border Police(ITBP), Assam Rifles, Secretariat Security Force (SSF) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

Eligibility

A candidate must be a citizen of India. The Vacancies in CAPFs & AR are State/UT/area wise and hence a candidate must submit domicile/PRC against his state/UT.

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for the position must have passed Matriculation or Class 10 examination from a recognised board/university.

Age Limit

Candidates applying for the positions should be within the age of 18 to 24 years, i.e., candidates should not have been born earlier than 02-01-2001 and later than 01-01-2006.

Candidates belonging to the reserved category will be provided age relaxation according to government norms.

Application Fee

Candidates belonging to general category will have to pay an application fee of Rs 100. On the other hand, women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) are exempted from payment of fees.
