The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially announced the dates for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2024 Tier 1 examination. The announcement, made on August 8, 2024, is available on the SSC's official website, ssc.gov.in.
Scheduled from September 9 to September 26, the exam will determine the selection for numerous Group 'B' and Group 'C' positions across various Government of India departments and statutory bodies.
The SSC CGL recruitment aims to fill approximately 17,727 vacancies across multiple sectors. The application process, which began on June 24 and closed on July 27, included steps such as document submission and fee payment, with options for online and offline transactions.
The recruitment will proceed in two tiers: Tier 1 will take place in September, followed by Tier 2 in December 2024. Candidates shortlisted from the Tier 1 exam will advance to Tier 2, with final selections based on merit and preference for specific posts.
Candidates are reminded that they must have completed their graduation by August 1, 2024, to be eligible for the exam. Those in their final year of graduation may apply, provided they meet the degree requirement by the deadline.
Additionally, a correction window for the application form will be available from August 10 to 11, 2024. The selection process includes a computer based examination followed by document verification.
