Griffins International School has won the Business Plan Competition hosted by Paschim Medinipur District Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PMDCCI), where Simran Acharya, a Class-XI student of Commerce bagged the first position.The competition is a part of the 9th District Industrial Trade Fair.

The competition aims to nurture the entrepreneurial mindset among students and provide them with a platform to present their business ideas. Participants are challenged to conceive a business idea solving daily life problems in an innovative way.

Acharya won the competition among 30 students from five schools and two colleges that took part in the competition.

“I am really happy and motivated that my business idea has been recognised. The Business Plan Competition not only helps us to evaluate our entrepreneurial skills but also provides an opportunity to learn and grow from the mentors.” said Simran.

According to Abishek Yadav, academic director and chairman, Griffins International School, the school believes in the holistic progress of children and the institute’s aim is to equip students with life skills. Many initiatives and workshops are organised by the school to encourage students to boost innovation and uncover creative ideas which turn into potential entrepreneurial propositions.

Yadav congratulated Acharya and her mentor Bidisha Bera Maity on securing first place.

Griffins International School, Kharagpur (GIS) is promoted and managed by Govind Behari Yadav Trust with its registered office in Kharagpur. The institute was founded with a vision to be a learning school that ignites inquisitive minds to innovate and inspire others.
