In a related development, the Centre has requested the Supreme Court to grant a three-week extension for the committee set up by the Ministry of Education to submit its findings on the National Testing Agency (NTA) and its examination process. The committee, chaired by former ISRO Chairman K Radhakrishnan, was formed in June to address concerns regarding the NEET UG exam and was expected to submit its report within two months. The Ministry has tasked the committee with recommending reforms in the examination process, improving data security protocols, and reviewing the structure and operations of the NTA.
