The Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to conclude the registration process for the 19th edition of the July 2024 session of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), today. Previously, the last date was announced to be April 2, which was later extended to April 5. This marks the last opportunity for candidates to submit their application form, through the official website - ctet.nic.in. The application window will remain functional till 11.59 PM.
The examination will be conducted on July 7, 2024, as scheduled, consisting of two papers (paper I and paper II). The CTET is a mandatory national-level teacher eligibility test for individuals aspiring to teach from Class 1 to Class 8 in schools affiliated with the CBSE board or state boards following the CBSE curriculum.
How to Apply
- Visit the official website at ctet.nic.in.
- Click on the ‘Apply Online’ option displayed on the homepage.
- Fill out the application form.
- Upload the required documents (scanned signature and picture).
- Make the payment of the examination fee.
- Print and download the confirmation page for future reference.
Incomplete/incorrect application form will be rejected. So, the candidates are advised to carefully fill out the form with accurate details. However, an edit option facility will be available to the candidates for the correction of data in their application form.

- General/OBC(NCL) - ₹1000 (paper I/paper II) and ₹1200 (paper I & paper II)
- SC/ST/Diff. Abled Person - ₹500 (paper I/paper II) and ₹600 (paper I & paper II)
