The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is set to initiate the online registration process for 75,768 General Duty (GD) constable positions for job seekers starting from November 24 through December 28. Eligible candidates can apply to these posts at ssc.nic.in.

To apply for the SSC GD constable recruitment 2024 candidates can follow these steps

  1. Visit the official website at ssc.nic.in.
  2. Click on the registration option on the homepage.
  3. Complete the registration form with your name, email id, and contact information.
  4. Log in using the credentials generated during registration.
  5. Fill in the application form with the necessary details.
  6. Upload the required documents and complete the payment process.
  7. Download and retain a printout of the confirmation page to complete the application process successfully.

The SSC GD constable 2024 positions offer placements in organisations such as the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Secretariat Security Force (SSF), Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles (AR) and Sepoy in NIA (National Investigation Agency).

Selection Process

Selections will be made on the basis of a Computer Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), Medical Examination, and Document Verification.

Question Paper Pattern

The CBT comprises 80 questions, each valued at two marks. Incorrect responses incur a 0.50 point deduction.

The exam covers General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English or Hindi, with each section containing 20 multiple-choice questions.
