The Rajasthan government has permitted all private and government schools in urban areas of the state to hold on-campus sessions for students of nursery to Class V from February 16, a notification from the home department of Rajasthan recently stated.

The home department of the state also issued fresh guidelines to all private and government schools in urban areas of Rajasthan on February 13. According to the fresh set of guidelines, the head of any institution, including schools and colleges, would have to issue a notice about the number of staff that have been inoculated with both the doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Students would only be allowed to come to campus for studies after the written consent of their parents or guardian. Students will be allowed to choose between online and offline classes. A hybrid model of education has been adopted by educational institutions in the state.

Rajasthan reopened schools for Classes X and XII on February 1, and for Classes VI to IX from February 10. On February13, seven more COVID-19 deaths and 2,177 fresh cases were recorded in the state.

The Union ministry of education recently allowed reopening of schools but left the final decision on the states and union territories. Delhi also resumed on-campus classes for students of nursery to Class VIII on February 14.

According to a statement from the Rajasthan government, all the restrictions imposed by guidelines, orders and revised orders issued earlier to prevent the spread of coronavirus were cancelled and new guidelines were issued.
