The Pondicherry University has taken a decision to grant two extra chances to all Arts and Science undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) students to clear arrears. Students admitted from the academic year 2006-07 to 2015-16 who were not able to complete their course within the maximum duration of time prescribed will now be able to complete their degree.
An official statement from PU reads, “Pondicherry University Vice-Chanellor Professor Gurmeet Singh in the larger interest of students community has granted two additional chances to all the Arts and Science undergraduate and postgraduate students to clear arrears papers in November/ December 2022 and April/ May 2023 examination session.”
The option will be applicable to all the affiliated colleges of Pondicherry University situated at Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe, Yanam and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
In a circular issued to all affiliated colleges, the Pondicherry University said: “The colleges are requested to inform the concerned students through mail, letter and circular etc and give wide publicity of the additional chances given by the university to help students towards completing their degree.”
The registration fee for the exam is Rs 3000 and Rs 1000 for each theory/practical paper. The university has also asked the colleges to submit the list of students who are willing to appear for the exam by this month's end.
