National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL) in Ranchi is inviting applications from law students for an online internship in Intellectual Property Law.
The month-long internship will begin on February 1 in virtual mode and the last day for registration is January 20.
The internship aims at enhancing the knowledge of aspiring lawyers in the field of intellectual property and helping students specialise in relevant legal technological interrelationship.
The varsity founded its Centre for Study and Research in Intellectual Property Rights (CSRIPR) in response to an escalating need felt by lawyers, technologists and companies. CSRIPR wishes to gain a better insight into new and evolving areas of intellectual property law such as the protection of software, semi-conductor products and biotechnological inventions. It also provides students exposure to standardisation and technology transfers and the general problems of patents, trademarks, designs and copyright.
To be eligible for this internship, the candidates should be pursuing either undergraduate or postgraduate law courses in a college or university recognised by the Bar Council of India. Candidates pursuing law courses in institutions of prominence in India or abroad are also eligible for this internship.
During the internship, the students will be required to research upon nuances of Intellectual property law and other related fields in this realm.
The interns will be allotted one domain from the following IPR:
- Trademark & GI
- Copyright
- Patent
- Trade Secrets & Undisclosed Information
- Artificial Intelligence
The internship is research-based. During the Internship, the interns will be required to prepare three well-researched articles on the topic assigned to them and submit it within the specified deadlines.
The varsity will induct 25 interns for the programme. The internship is solely for learning purpose and the interns will not be paid during this period.
