The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to officially conclude the registration process for the June session of the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) 2024, tomorrow, May 19. Interested candidates can apply through the official website - ugcnet.nta.ac.in. They will be able to submit their application form until 11.59 PM and deposit the registration fees until May 20 (upto 11.59 PM).

As for the release of the admit card and final results, the specific dates are yet to be announced by the official website.
UGC NET June Exam Pattern
- Duration and Mode: The examination will be conducted in OMR-based mode for three hours (180 minutes). No break will be provided between papers 1 and 2.
- Total Number of Questions: The exam comprises 150 objective-type, multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with paper 1 having 50 questions and paper 2 having the rest 100.
- Total Marks: The total maximum score possible is 300, calculated from paper 1 (100 marks), and paper 2 (200 marks).
- Marking Scheme: Each correct answer will earn the candidate two marks. However, there is no negative marking for incorrect answers. No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions as well.
The examination is administered twice a year (June and December) to determine the eligibility of candidates for ‘award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor’, ‘appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.’, and ‘admission to Ph.D. only’ at universities and colleges across India.
