The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) on Sunday, May 5. The examination will be conducted across 557 cities throughout the country and 14 centres abroad with over 24 lakh candidates appearing.
As per NTA, students must follow a certain dress code to appear in the examination scheduled for 2 PM to 5.20 PM.
Male students should avoid wearing heavy clothes, half-sleeved shirts and t-shirts, plain pants, or trousers with pockets. Male candidates should not wear garments with zip pockets, large buttons, sequins or embroideries.
Female candidates should avoid wearing ornaments such as earrings, nose rings, pendants, and necklaces and avoid Kurtis. Leggings and palazzos are not permitted for female candidates in NEET 2024.
Also, students are not permitted to entre the examination centre with shoes. They can wear slippers, sandals and low heels.
The NTA has asked candidates wearing items or objects of faith (customary, cultural or religious) to arrive at the examination centre by 12.30 pm as it will provide sufficient time for through frisking without causing inconvenience to the candidates.
The NTA has also issued several guidelines for candidates goining to appear in the NEET UG Examination on Sunday.
It is mandatory for candidates to carry their admit cards since no candidate will be allowed inside the exam hall without valiad admit card.
Candidates have also been instructed to bring a valid photo ID card with them and a passport-size photograph of themselves for identification purpose.
