Noida International University has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with BRICS International Forum (BIF) to encourage collaborative research and academic exchanges in the field of science, technology, humanities, medicine, health sciences and sports.
This MoU outlines the initiative for mutual cooperation between the two parties in recognising the mutual interest in the fields of research, development, education, training, transfer of technology and dissemination of knowledge on long term non-commercial basis.
It will also focus on giving importance to engineering, medical, paramedical, health sciences, humanities, legal studies, sciences, nursing and sports in global collaborations. The MoU will also encourage research on education’s role in promoting international collaboration and increased contribution of socio-economic development.
Noida International University’s pro-vice-chancellor Parsanjeet Kumar and Registrar Jayanand represented the varsity during the MoU signing. VI Akinfiev, co-president, BRICS International and Purnima Anand, BRICS International Forum were present when the MoU was inked.
“Since higher education is what drives forward the development of a nation, it is envisioned that higher education institutes should cash-in on each other’s strengths through cooperation and capacity building. This association would help bring in joint research projects in fields of mutual interests and exchange of academic publications and reports,” said Kumar.
The tie-up between Noida International University and BRICS International Forum aims at the following specific objectives:
· Joint research projects in fields of mutual interest.
· Exchange of academic publications and report.
· Organisation of joint symposia, workshops, lectures and conferences.
· Participation of researchers and professors in various international technical conferences.
· International teachers training programmes, conference, student exchange programmes and internship programmes.
· Extension to other areas will be made through further amendments to the present MoU.
