On behalf of the National Medical Commission, AIIMS Delhi recently issued an application call for the mock National Exit Test scheduled for July 28. The general/OBC candidates must pay a fee of INR 2000. Many medical professionals and students agreed that paying such high fees for a mock exam was not the best course of action. The health ministry has now requested that NMC waive the mock test fee.
The purpose of the mock test is to acquaint potential candidates with the computer-based test, software interface, and examination centre process flow.
The final-year MBBS students in the 2019 class will take the NExT in two phases the following year. Only the structure and pattern of NExT Step 1 will be demonstrated by the sample questions in the NExT mock or practise test. Foreign medical graduates (FMGs) who wish to practise medicine in India must first qualify for NExT Step 1, do an internship, and then pass NExT Step 2.
