The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) is set to announce the results of the eagerly awaited West Bengal Higher Secondary (HS) Examination 2024 today, May 8, 2024, at 1PM. This announcement marks the culmination of a period of anticipation for the countless students who took the exams from February 16 to February 29, 2024.
The candidates can check their results by visiting either of the WBCHSE official websites wbchse.wb.gov.in or wbresults.nic.in.
Following the release of the results, students can opt for scrutiny (PPS) and review (PPR) of their performances from May 10, 2024, onwards. A notable initiative introduced by the WBCHSE is the inception of a special ‘Tatkal’ review service catering to students seeking expedited review processes. For a fee higher than the standard rate, candidates desiring a thorough review of their papers can avail of this service. To ensure promptness, the Council commits to delivering the revised mark sheet within seven days of the review appeal date. Failure to meet this deadline will result in a refund of the additional fee to the concerned party.
Upon result declaration, candidates typically submit applications for scrutiny and review, a process that traditionally consumes around 30 days from submission to issuance of revised results. Recognising the challenges this delay poses for students, particularly in case of college admissions, the WBCHSE has introduced the Tatkal scrutiny and review service to expedite the process.
