Summary
In each of the first three semesters, students must choose three interdisciplinary courses from a variety of options offered by various academic fields
The BA/BSc programme shall be for a minimum duration of six consecutive semesters with an exit option after second and fourth semesters

A three-year multidisciplinary course curriculum and admission guidelines have been made public by Calcutta University and will be put into effect this academic year.

The students in this curriculum will have the opportunity to drop the course after the second and fourth semesters, and they can select both science and humanities courses.

According to a policy issued by Calcutta University, "The BA/BSc programme shall be for a minimum duration of six consecutive semesters with an exit option after second and fourth semesters. The subjects of all the disciplines have been taken to construct eight smaller interdisciplinary pools in order to make distinct multidisciplinary subject combinations. The student must choose three core disciplines, choosing no more than one from each pool."

Four common value-added courses worth two credits each will be offered. In each of the first three semesters, students must choose three interdisciplinary courses from a variety of options offered by various academic fields. Additionally, they must complete three courses for skill improvement, one in each of the two major subjects and one in the minor.
