The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced the reduced cut-off marks for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Super Speciality (NEET SS). The NEET SS 2022 cut-off marks are now reduced across all groups.
The qualifying percentile for applicants falling in the General category is decreased to 20th percentile from the prior 50th percentile. Applicants now having 20 percentile and above in the specialty groups in NEET SS 2022 will now stand eligible for the additional mop-up round of counselling.
The board while declaring the revised cut-off scores has even asked the applicants to search the website of Medical Counselling Committee -- mcc.nic.in for gaining every information related to counselling for granting admission to all DM, MCh and DrNB Super Specialty courses.
"The competent authorities of the MoHFW (Ministry of Health and Family Welfare) in consultation with the NMC have decided to conduct an additional mop-up round... it may be conducted for remaining vacant seats after completion of two rounds of the NEET-SS 2022-23 counselling," stated a letter sent by the MCC to the NBE.
The candidates eligible for the additional round will now be required to score 20th percentile and above -- in all subjects -- in the NEET-SS 2022 examination as taken by the NBE, it said. "Therefore, it is requested to you to kindly share the data of eligible candidates...," added the letter.
