The National Medical Commission stated that the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will hold the online counselling for the stray vacancy round of the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) PG counselling 2023 for 100 percent seats in deemed universities. The commission further also asked states and union territories to make necessary arrangements for taking online counselling for all rounds for the private medical colleges from the academic year 2023-24.
“As per the orders of the Supreme Court, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of DGHS, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare shall conduct the online counselling for stray vacancy round for 100% seats in deemed universities in UG and PG courses,” added the NMC in an official notice.
NMC further stated, “All the state counselling agencies are requested to make necessary arrangements for conducting the counselling in online mode, for all rounds including stray vacancy round in private medical colleges, from the academic year 2023-24. No college/ institute should conduct the counselling, including the stray vacancy round, in physical mode.”
The commission further also stated that this will assist in tackling the issue of seat blocking and complaints or court cases related to NEET counselling.
The MCC has even issued the NEET PG counselling 2023 schedule and hence the registration process is all set to start on 27 July.
