According to the schedule, the NEET-PG exam will be held on 5 March 2023 for candidates seeking admission to postgraduate medical programmes, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced before the Lok Sabha on Friday.
In response to a query from Congressman Gaurav Gogoi, he stated that the ministry had extended the deadline for all MBBS students who had not finished their internships in order to make sure that no one was left out.
"Earlier exams were postponed by 7 to 8 months, and later exams were delayed by 4 months. Such a problem would arise if I continue to put it off", he warned, adding that "it is important to address it." The minister emphasised how important it is to hold the entrance exam on time.
The deadline has already been extended, according to Mandavia, for individuals who have not finished their internships. In order to provide all students a chance to take the NEET-PG exam, pass it, and enroll in PG (postgraduate medical schools), he stated, "I have extended the cut-off date."
The ministry extended the cut-off date from 30 June 2023 to 11 August 2023 for the NEET-PG aspirants to complete their mandatory one-year internship.
