The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced that the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has decided to postpone the NEET-PG 2024 exam, originally scheduled for June 23, 2024. This notification just a day before the exam comes as a shock to the all the candidates who have been preparing for the integral exam. While the specific details of these challenges have not been disclosed, NBEMS announced the decision citing "as a precautionary measure."
“This decision has been taken by the Government in the best interests of the students and to maintain the sanctity of examination process,” the notice also added.
Following the re-xamination of NEET-UG, cancellation of the UGC NET exam, postponement of the CSIR UGC NET exam, this postponment of NEET PG - another major national medical exam, adds to the uncertainty faced by aspiring researchers and students.
Candidates who registered for entrance test has been advised to stay updated for the revised exam date. The official notification did not specify a new date for the exam, advising candidates to regularly check the official website for updates.
