The National Testing Agency (NTA) in an official notification released on June 12 has decided to reschedule the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2024.
The examination was held on June 12 from 2 PM to 5 PM across 292 centres in 160 cities nationwide, with 40, 233 registered candidates, and approximately about 29,000 candidates who appeared for the test. However, multiple examination centres faced technical difficulties due to which the test could not be initiated, resulting in NTA’s decision to postpone the exam.
“A new date for the NCET 2024 will be announced soon through the official NCET portal ”, the notification additionally highlighted.
This is a national-level entrance exam conducted by NTA on behalf of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for students wishing to seek admission to a four-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) in selected central/state universities/institutions, including IITs, NITs, RIEs, and government colleges for the academic year 2024-2025.
