The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to soon release the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 counselling schedule. According to media reports, the counselling process is anticipated to begin in the second week of September 2024. However, no official confirmation has been provided by the MCC yet.
Candidates who cleared the NEET PG 2024 exam can register for counselling through the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in. The NEET PG 2024 results were announced on 23 August and are accessible on the NBEMS websites: natboard.edu.in and nbe.edu.in.
In line with the minimum qualifying criteria outlined in the NEET PG 2024 Information Bulletin, the cut-off percentiles for different categories are as follows:
- General / EWS: 50th Percentile
- General-PwBD: 45th Percentile
- SC/ST/OBC (including PwBD of SC/ST/OBC): 40th Percentile
The merit position for All India 50% quota seats will be released separately. State/ Union Territory authorities will generate their respective final merit lists based on qualifying criteria, applicable guidelines, and reservation policies.
Additionally, the official notice stated, “Individual scorecards for candidates who appeared in NEET-PG 2024 can be downloaded from the website nbe.edu.in on/after 30 August 2024.”
The counselling process will allocate seats for 26,168 Doctor of Medicine (MD), 13,649 Master of Surgery (MS), 922 Postgraduate Diploma, and 1,338 Diplomate of National Board Centralised Entrance Test (DNB CET) positions. A total of 6,102 colleges and 649 hospitals are set to participate in this year’s counselling.
The NEET PG 2024 was held on August 11, 2024 in two shifts for admissions to MD/ MS/ DNB/ Diploma courses for the 2024-25 session.
