The Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme 2024 has officially launched its registration process, offering opportunities for young candidates to apply across 24 sectors. Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official portal at pminternship.mca.gov.in. The scheme aims to provide valuable work experience to youth across the nation by providing them the opportunity to do an internship in the top 500 companies across India.
PM Internship Scheme - Steps to Apply
Interested candidates can follow these steps to apply:
- Visit the official website at pminternship.mca.gov.in.
- Click on the ‘Youth Registration’ or ‘Register Now’ tab on the homepage.
- Complete registration to obtain the login credentials.
- Complete the candidate profile creation process by filling in the required details and uploading the necessary documents.
- Upon successful submission of necessary information, a resume will be automatically generated.
- Applicants can then apply for internships based on their preferences.
There is no registration fee for the application process. Candidates must also note that for any assistance during the registration and profile creation process, they can raise a ticket on the homepage or post login. Alternatively, they can also contact the helpline number at 1800-116-090.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the PM Internship Scheme, candidates must not be pursuing full-time education or be full-time employed and must also meet the following requirements:
- Educational Qualification: Applicants must have completed high school and possess one of the following qualifications from a dropdown list of various options: ITI certificate, or a graduate degree.
- Age Limit: Candidates should be between the ages of 21 and 24.
- Eligibility for Online and Distance Learners: Students pursuing their education through online or distance learning modes are also eligible to apply.
- Family: No member (self/spouse/parents) should have an annual income of more than eight lakhs or should possess a government job.
PM Internship Scheme: Stipend and Financial Benefits
Selected interns will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 5,000 throughout the 12-month internship. The stipend is provided through a combination of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) contributions from participating companies, with Rs 500 contributed by the company and Rs 4,500 from the government.
Additionally, interns will receive a one-time financial grant of Rs 6,000 to cover incidental expenses during the internship period.
