In the Steel town of Rourkela, nestled in the heart of Western Odisha, resides a young girl named, Sheshadri Pandey with an extraordinary passion for sports. From an early age, her spirit burned with determination and an unquenchable thirst for excellence.

She embarked on her sports journey by enrolling in Karate during her first grade, and at the age of nine, she became a part of J.K Martial Arts. Despite her petite frame, she possessed an indomitable spirit and an insatiable hunger to succeed.

Her relentless training paid off when she won her first Bronze medal at the Wushu District Championship. In 2018, she secured her spot in the Wushu State Championship, and her accomplishments included a Gold medal at the DAV Zonals in Wushu in 2019, followed by a Bronze medal at the D.A.V Nationals. She yearned to push her boundaries further, and so she delved into the world of Judo. Her grace and technique soon earned her recognition, and she became a force to be reckoned with. Achieving the 7th rank in the Khelo India Judo Women's League, she displayed her prowess.

In the State Thai Boxing Championship in the 44-46 kg category, she not only secured the Gold medal but also earned the distinction of being named the Best Girl Cadet. This young athlete's journey is a testament to her dedication, discipline, and passion for sports. She serves as an inspiration to aspiring athletes, proving that hard work and determination can lead to remarkable success in the sporting arena. But Sheshadri was not one to rest on her laurels.

She achieved Gold in the Khelo India Ashmita Pencak Silat League and excelled in Artistic Pain and Rhythmic, securing Gold as well. Furthermore, she clinched the Bronze in the Traditional District Yog Kumari category during the District Yogasana Championship held at Rourkela DAV and also secured Second place in the State Ranking Yoga Championship held in Cuttack 2023. She has also been chosen to participate in the National Yogasana competition which is to be held in Assam. She also secured the First position in the 2022 Kabbadi Sahoday event, proving her multi-talented sportsmanship in different fields.

She got a Silver medal at the 12th National Thai Boxing Championship in Goa in 2020 additionally, she clinched the Gold medal in the musical event at the 14th National Thai Boxing Championship held in Bhubaneswar, as well as a Bronze in the fighting category.

Now, at a young age, she's proudly representing India on the Global stage at the 2023 World Thai Boxing Championship in Hyderabad, showcasing her remarkable achievements achieved at such a youthful stage of life. However, Sheshadri’s journey was a testament to the power of passion, hard work, and relentless dedication. Her story not only inspired her classmates but also garnered admiration from her teachers and community. As Sheshadri continued her studies in Class X, she carried with her the lessons she had learned from the boxing ring, Judo mat, and Yogasana practice.
