MediSage, a global knowledge platform for medical professionals, is hosting a series of seven webinars on Competencies in Chronic Care, led by Dr. Sanjay Kalra. The series, which started in February this year, aims to empower post-graduate students and general practitioners, offering a comprehensive educational experience with a focus on various endocrinology topics. The series features two formats—didactic lectures by Dr. Sanjay Kalra and engaging talk shows where Dr. Kalra is joined by a guest expert. The next session in the series will be held on June 27, 2023.
Dr. Sanjay Kalra stated, “As our society ages and we take better care of acute diseases, we are confronted with the new health challenges of chronic diseases. Nowadays, diseases often manifest in chronic forms, whether they’re metabolic, musculoskeletal, or microgenic—such as cancer-related. Unfortunately, our traditional training programs primarily focus on acute medical care. To address this gap, we’ve created the Triple C approach, which stands for enhancing Competencies in Chronic Care.”
The webinars cover a range of essential topics, including the entire spectrum of diabetes with Dr. Suneet Verma, obesity with Dr. Nitin Kapoor, gonadal health with Dr. Atul Dhingra, and of PCOS with Dr. Bharti Kalra.
Dr. Sanjay Kalra also presented case studies related to the monthly topic, which are discussed during the webinars. This series serves as a platform for learning, discussion and skill development in chronic care, allowing participants to gain knowledge from renowned experts, engage in interactive sessions and deepen their understanding of various endocrinology topics.
Mr. Abhishek Ghosh, Co-Founder and Director of MediSage, added, “We’re thrilled to announce the launch of the Competencies in Chronic Care series, led by the esteemed Dr. Sanjay Kalra. In today’s evolving healthcare landscape, chronic diseases have become a significant challenge. We believe this series will serve as a valuable platform for learning, discussion and skill development in chronic care. By participating in these webinars, healthcare professionals can enhance their competencies and improve patient outcomes in the management of chronic diseases. We extend our gratitude to Dr. Sanjay Kalra and all the guest experts for their invaluable contributions to this series. We also express our appreciation to the participants for their active engagement and commitment to advancing their knowledge in chronic care.”
