The NEET UG counselling process is designed to fill seats in MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing, and other allied medical programmes across various government, private, and deemed universities nationwide.
The counselling primarily focuses on filling All India Quota (AIQ) seats, which make up 15% of the total seats available in government medical colleges. Additionally, seats in central universities, deemed universities, ESIC, AFMS, AIIMS, and JIPMER institutions are also allotted through this process. State quota seats, which account for 85% of the seats, are handled through respective state authorities.
