The NEET PG counselling process grants admission to All India Quota (AIQ) seats for MD, MS, Diplomate of National Board (DNB), and postgraduate diploma programmes. The counselling is expected to unfold over four rounds: round 1, round 2, round 3, and the AIQ stray vacancy round.

In parallel, the Supreme Court is scheduled to hear a plea from NEET PG aspirants on October 25. The petitioners have urged the court to instruct the National Board of Examinations in Medical Science (NBEMS) to release the answer keys, response sheets, and raw scores for the exam. The plea stems from concerns about the transparency of the results, as the NEET PG 2024 cut-off was not issued, and the board introduced the normalisation process for the first time.
