The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is anticipated to release the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 counselling schedule shortly. As per media reports, the counselling process is likely to commence in the second week of September 2024. However, the MCC has not given any confirmation on this yet.

Candidates who have successfully cleared the NEET PG 2024 examination can register for counselling through the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in.

The NEET PG 2024 results were officially declared on August 23, 2024, on the National Board of Examinations website, natboard.edu.in. MCC will conduct four rounds of counselling for candidates qualified under the All India Quota (AIQ), including Round 1, Round 2, a mop-up round, and a stray vacancy round. The NEET PG 2024 exam was conducted on August 11, 2024.

NEET PG 2024 Qualifying Criteria

Eligibility for NEET PG 2024 counselling will follow the guidelines outlined in the Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023.

  • General/ EWS: 50th Percentile
  • General-PwBD: 45th Percentile
  • SC/ ST/ OBC (including PwBD): 40th Percentile

The NEET PG 2024 counselling process will allocate seats for 26,168 Doctor of Medicine (MD), 13,649 Master of Surgery (MS), 922 Postgraduate Diploma, and 1,338 Diplomate of National Board Centralised Entrance Test (DNB CET) positions. A total of 6,102 colleges and 649 hospitals will participate in this year’s counselling.
