The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially opened the resignation window for NEET PG 2024 candidates wishing to opt out of their Round 1 and Round 2 seat allotments. This resignation facility will remain available on the official website, mcc.nic.in, until 6PM on December 26, 2024.
This decision follows multiple requests from postgraduate medical candidates seeking to vacate their previously allotted seats for various personal or professional reasons.
Key Guidelines for Candidates
In parallel, the MCC has also opened the IntraMCC portal for participating PG institutes (including AIQ, Deemed, Central Universities, and Central Institutes) to contribute seats for Round 3 of NEET PG counselling 2024. The contribution window will close at 5PM on December 12, 2024.
Institutes are permitted to contribute additional or new seats approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC) post-Round 2 counselling. However, MCC has directed institutes not to re-contribute seats left vacant after Round 2 due to non-reporting, cancellation, or resignation.
