NEET UG 2024 Special Stray Vacancy Round Counselling Begins - Eligibility, Seat Matrix & Key Dates

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially commenced the NEET UG 2024 counselling for the special stray vacancy round. This round is restricted to candidates who registered earlier but did not secure or join any allotted seat. Fresh registrations are not allowed for this round.

Important Dates

• Payment Facility: November 20 to November 21, 2024.
• Choice Filling: November 20 to November 22, 2024.
• Choice Locking: November 21 to November 22, 2024.
• Seat Allotment Result: November 23, 2024.
• Institute Reporting: November 25 to November 30, 2024.

Candidates must fill fresh choices as earlier submissions will not be considered.

Participation Fee Details

• Government Seats: refundable security deposit of ₹50,000 for all AIQ-registered candidates.
• Deemed University Seats: Refundable security deposit of ₹3,00,000.

However, candidates failing to join allotted seats in this round will forfeit their security deposit and be barred from appearing in the NEET UG 2025 exam.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Must have registered and paid the requisite fee earlier.
2. Should not hold any seat in previous rounds (AIQ/State Quota/Deemed University).
3. Must not have joined an institute allotted in earlier NEET UG 2024 rounds.
4. Candidates who did not join their allotted seats in Round 3 or the Stray Vacancy Round are eligible.

MCC has officially released the seat matrix for the special stray vacancy round. Candidates are advised to carefully go through the seat matrix, prioritise, and lock their choices within the given timeline.
