The window to apply for the Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TN TRB) Secondary Grade Teacher (SGT) positions will close tomorrow, March 15, at 5PM. Interested candidates can submit their applications for the 1,768 available vacancies through the official website of TN TRB, trb.tn.gov.in.
These vacancies fall under the Tamil Nadu Elementary Educational Subordinate Service, consisting of 1,729 current openings and 39 backlog positions. The written examination for this recruitment drive is tentatively scheduled for June 23.
The recruitment process consists of two main parts: a compulsory Tamil Language Eligibility Test and a subject-specific examination. The former includes 30 questions to be answered within 30 minutes, with a passing threshold of 20 marks or 40 percent. Meanwhile, the latter comprises 150 questions to be tackled in three hours, with different passing criteria based on category.
Age Limit
Candidates must note that the age limit for general category applicants is 53 years as of July 1st, 2024.
Application Fees
For most candidates the application fee is ₹600, while it is ₹300 for SC, SCA, ST and differently abled individuals.
