The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has postponed the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) 2023 for recruitment of assistant professors, originally slated for November 26, due to unforeseen circumstances. The new date for the examination has been tentatively set for December 31, 2023.
As per a post on KEA’s official X handle (formerly Twitter), “State Assistant Professor Eligibility Test (K-Set 23) scheduled to be held on November 26 has been postponed. Executive Director of KEA S. Ramya said that a provisional date has been fixed to be held on December 31”.
Candidates will be able to check the official notification on the final exam date once announced on the KEA website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
Examination Details:
The KSET 2023 will be conducted in two sessions. The first paper, scheduled from 10AM to 11AM, will carry 100 marks. The second paper, from noon to 2PM, will carry 200 marks.
Paper 1 will consist of 50 objective-type compulsory questions, each valued at two marks. Likewise, Paper 2 will include 100 compulsory questions, also carrying two marks each.
Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for the examination, candidates from the general category must attain a minimum aggregate of 40 percent marks in both papers. Meanwhile, candidates from SC, ST, PwD, transgender, and other reserved categories are required to secure a minimum of 35 percent marks in order to be eligible for assistant professor positions.
