The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has declared a special stray vacancy round for NEET UG counselling 2023, aiming to fill remaining vacant seats post the final round allotment.
KEA has outlined eligibility criteria for the special stray vacancy round as follows:
1. Candidates who haven't been allocated any medical seats in previous rounds can participate.
2. Candidates with dental, AYUSH, or engineering seat allotments are also eligible, with no fee refunds.
To partake in this round, candidates must submit the required fee in the form of a demand draft (DD) made out to the KEA executive director.
For MBBS seats, the DD fee is Rs 60,000. For option entry in government seats, the fee is Rs 1,41,446, Rs 10,92,852 for government and private seats, Rs 22,15,750 for government and private seats in private universities, and Rs 40,12,700 for all seats.
DD submission is open from November 7 to November 8, with the option entry available until November 9. Seat allotments will be revealed after 4 pm on November 9. Unallotted candidates can collect their DD on the same day, while seat recipients must generate their admission orders and report to their designated institutes by 5 pm on November 10.
For dental seats, counselling will be held on November 10. Candidates should bring DD fees and original documents to the KEA office at 10 am. Registration will be followed by the opening of the option entry window from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, with seat allotments disclosed at 3:30 pm on the same day, as per KEA's announcement.
