The NEET PG Counselling process in Karnataka comprises two rounds, followed by a mop-up round to address any remaining vacant seats in 2023. Participants who secure seats in the first round have two options: they can either retain their allocated seats or relinquish them. If content with their seat allotment, candidates are required to confirm their enrollment in the allotted institution and will not be considered for further rounds. Alternatively, candidates looking for an upgraded seat can choose to participate in subsequent rounds.

In instances where candidates are discontent with their allotted seats but still wish to surrender them, they will remain eligible for subsequent counselling rounds. However, those who opt to surrender their seats after round one will not be eligible for participation in subsequent rounds.
