West Bengal’s prestigious Kalyani University has received approval from AICTE to initiate a string of new B.Tech and M.Tech programmes. The university’s campus is located in the Nadia district of West Bengal.
The university will be offering the new B.Tech programmes in Electronics and Communication Engineering and as of now there will be 30 seats candidates. Admissions to the course will be granted through the West Bengal Joint Entrance Board Examinations (WBJEE).
The new M.Tech, focused on Information Technology, will have 12 seats in total. The university will have its own admission process for admitting students into the programme. Classes for the B.Tech and M.Tech courses will start from the 2022-23 session itself.
A distinct department, namely the Department of Engineering and Technology Studies, would host the two new programs. As of now, Kalyani University offers B.Tech in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering and in Information Technology; and M.Tech in Communication Engineering. The Kalyani University was established in the year 1960. It is administered by the Government of West Bengal besides being accredited by the NAAC.
