The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has initiated the online counselling process today, June 10, for undergraduate admissions to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and seats within the NIT+ system. Aspiring candidates meeting the eligibility criteria can apply through the official website josaa.nic.in.
According to the counselling schedule, candidates are required to register, fill their choices, and make pre-payments for the seat acceptance fee from June 10 to June 18. For candidates opting for the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT), registration will commence on June 14, following the declaration of AAT results.
Admission to IIT seats is exclusively reserved for JEE Advanced qualified candidates, while those who have qualified JEE Main are eligible to apply for seats within the NIT+ system, encompassing NITs, IIITs, IIEST Shibpur, and other GFTIs.
Upon the conclusion of JoSAA counselling 2024, the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) will conduct separate counselling sessions for the allocation of remaining seats within the NIT+ system.
On Sunday, June 15, JoSAA will unveil the 1st mock allotment list, reflecting choices filled until June 14. Following this, candidates will have the opportunity to edit their choices.
Subsequently, on June 17, the second mock allotment list will be released based on choices submitted until June 16. Choice locking will commence after the publication of the second allotment list.
Registration and choice filling for academic programs under JoSAA 2024 will conclude on June 18, with the first allotment list slated for publication on June 20.
