JoSAA Seat Allotment Result 2024 Candidate Options

  • Freeze: Select this if you are satisfied with the allotted seat and do not wish to participate in further rounds of JoSAA counselling 2024.
  • Float: Choose this if you are content with the current seat but want to be considered for seats in other institutes in upcoming rounds of JoSAA seat allocation.
  • Slide: Opt for this if you accept the allotted seat but are open to admission into a higher-preference course within the same institute.

According to the JoSAA 2024 counselling schedule, the online reporting process, including fee payment and document verification for shortlisted candidates, will take place from June 20 to June 25. The deadline for responding to queries regarding the JoSAA 2024 round 1 admission list is June 26.

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority, a body under the Ministry of Education, manages the admission process for 121 central government-funded technical institutions. JEE Advanced qualified candidates can participate in the JoSAA counselling for IIT and NIT+ seats, while JEE Main qualified candidates can apply for NIT+ seats.
