Jaipur-based JK Lakshmipat University (JKLU) has recently received “A grade” from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) at its very first attempt.
An autonomous body funded by the University Grants Commission (UGC), NAAC conducts assessment and accreditation of higher educational institutions to give them a “quality status” on the basis of certain criteria.
NAAC grades institutes based on their teaching-learning and evaluation; research, innovations and extension; infrastructure and learning resources; student support and progression; governance, leadership and management; and institutional values and best practices.
From April 20 to 22, 20, NAAC critically examined JKLU on these parameters and awarded an overall grade of 3.05. Only two other higher education institutions in Rajasthan have a higher rating.
Expressing satisfaction over the grade received by the university, JKLU vice chancellor Dheeraj Sanghi said the achievement would not have been possible without the cooperation of everyone associated with the institute.
“The grade reflects our hard work, aspirations, and commitment to quality and excellence. I believe that this grade truly reflects the large strides this university has made in the last several years. We feel very encouraged by this recognition, which motivates us to continue our march towards excellence with a stronger vigour and commitment,” he added.
