The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the Final Provisional Answer Key, for the JEE Main Session 1 exam that was held for BTech and BE admissions.
The NTA has also dropped five questions in the final provisional answer key. The exam conducting council has even granted 2 answers. Furthermore, there was one question that had multiple answers for both English and Hindi papers. It has been brought to notice that apart from this one question, every other question that was dropped by the National Testing Agency were from the Mathematics section.
As per the statements of the NTA applicants will not be awarded any marks for these dropped questions. Back in the year 2022, the NTA also issued a statement where it mentioned that if none of the options were found correct or a question is deemed to be in correct or dropped then percent equivalence will be established on the remaining questions whether attempted or not attempted.
However, as per the rules this is only if the question is in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) format. In case of a numerical value question, “four marks (+4)" will be given to all the applicants who have answered the question.
