One hundred and one toppers of West Bengal Madhyamik 2021 have received the Jahar Lal Chandra Merit Scholarship.
The scholarships were distributed by the PC Chandra Group over a month. Fourteen toppers from south Bengal received the award on February 26.
The scholarships were handed over to the students in their respective districts because of the pandemic.
A scholarship of Rs 50,000 each was handed over to: Debashish Samanta, Antik Basu and Tuhina Dutta from Hooghly), Ashutosh Manna and Riddhita Das from Howrah), Ananna Mondal, Dibyaduti Roy, Souhardya Mitra and Debrup Kundu from North-24 Parganas-, Hema Bag, Titu Mallick and Debayan Roy from South 24-Parganas and Ranit Maity and Musarrat Jahan from Kolkata at PC Chandra Garden in the presence of PC Chandra Jewellers joint managing director Prosanto Chandra.
This initiative was started in 2014 to mark 75 years of the PC Chandra Group.
