The board has reverted to the earlier eligibility rule of allowing a maximum of two attempts for JEE Advanced, following a decision taken on November 15, 2024. This change supersedes the previous increase to three attempts, which was introduced recently.

Candidates who appeared for JEE Advanced 2024 can take part in JEE Advanced 2025. However, those who participated in JEE Advanced 2023 or earlier are not eligible for the 2025 attempt.

Other eligibility criteria, including performance in JEE Main 2025, age limits, Class 12 appearance, and IIT admissions, remain unchanged.

The JEE Advanced 2025 exam date and information bulletin will be released soon on the official website (jeeadv.ac.in). Candidates can also access the eligibility criteria for Indian and foreign nationals on the same site.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) has confirmed that the JEE Advanced 2025 syllabus remains consistent with the previous year's exam syllabus, and details are available on the website. This reversion aims to maintain a balance in the competitive landscape while adhering to established norms.
