"The concerned Colleges shall keep their admission counters open on all days including holidays / off days in order to facilitate the candidates for taking admission in their allotted/upgraded colleges without any difficulty," added the official statement.
The admission of candidates is purely provisional and shall be liable to be cancelled in case any information furnished by any candidate(s) proves to be false/fabricated, for which action, as warranted under law, shall be initiated against such candidates.
The Heads of concerned colleges are advised to release the documents and refund the fee to the candidates who have been upgraded during the mop-up round of counselling without wasting their time to enable them to report to the upgraded colleges by or before 7 February 2023.
In terms of Section 9 (2) of J&K Reservation Act 2004, 10 seats under different reserved categories have been converted into Open Merit due to the non-availability of eligible candidates in these reserved categories after the conclusion of the counselling on 27 January 2023 and have been allotted to the Open Merit candidates strictly on the basis of Merit-cum-Preference.
