Indian School Certificate (ISC) 2022 Semester 2 examinations for Class XII students are set to begin in offline mode on April 26 amid strict COVID-safety measures
The exams, conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), will begin with the English Language paper.
The exams will begin at 2pm every day. The question papers will be handed over to the students at 1.50pm to ensure 10 minutes of reading time. According to CISCE, students must check if they have been handed over the question of the correct subject and carefully read the question paper during this time. In case they receive a wrong question paper, they must immediately inform the supervisor.
Students will be required to wear proper face masks and use sanitisers in the examination halls while maintaining social distancing, CISCE has said in its circular. However, it is not mandatory for students to be fully vaccinated to enter the examination hall.
“ICSE and ISC candidates will be allowed to take the examination even if they are not vaccinated or partially vaccinated,” the council said in a statement on April 24.
As per guidelines issued by the council, students will not be allowed to share pens, pencils, scales or any other item with each other. Also, electronic gadgets are not allowed in the exam hall. Students will not be allowed to enter the examination hall without the admit card.
To avoid overcrowding at the examination centres, the council has directed the candidates to arrive at least 30 minutes before time.
This is the first time that the ISC and ICSE examinations have been divided into two semesters. The first semester exams were held in November 2021 and the results were announced in February 2022. As per the council, the ISC Semester 2 exams will conclude on June 13 and the results will be announced in the month of July.
