Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently announced that Indian students pursuing master's degrees in France would now be granted a five-year post-study employment visa. Earlier, a two-year work visa was given toIndian students pursuing master's degrees in France.

While addressing the Indian community at La Seine Musicale in Paris, PM Modi said, “Earlier France used to give two-year post-study visa to Indian students, now Indian students will be given a five-year post-study work visa.”

PM Modi is in Paris for two days. As the honoured guest, the prime minister will attend the Bastille Day ceremonies in Paris alongside President Macron.

The multifaceted India-France Strategic Partnership, which is commemorating its 25th anniversary this year, was another focus of the prime minister's speech. The inauguration of a new consulate in Marseille, France, was also announced by PM Modi.
