Good news for aspirants looking out for government jobs. The Railway Recruitment Cell of Northern Railway has invited applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post of apprentices under the Apprentice Act 1961. The selected candidates will be provided training at various divisions/units/workshops over Northern Railway.
The application for this recruitment process will begin from December 11 and will continue till January 11. A total of 3093 apprentices will be recruited.
Eligibility Criteria
In order to apply for the position, a candidate must have passed SSC/Matriculation/10th class examination or equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50 percent marks in aggregate from recognised board. Apart from this, the candidate must have passed ITI in relevant trade issued by NCVT/SCVT recognised by the Government of India.
Age limit
Candidates should have completed 15 years of age and mustn’t have complete 24 years of age as on 11.01.2024
However, for SC/ST candidates the upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years and for OBC candidates, the age limit is relaxable by 3 years. The upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years for persons with disability.
Application fee
Candidates will have to pay an online application fee of Rs 100. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates will not have to pay any application fee.

Step 3: Register yourself by providing all the required information
Step 4: On successful registration, candidates will be given password for login
Step 5: Login using your credentials and fill up the application form by clicking on ‘Candidate Dashboard containing Application form, payment of Online Fee, Upload documents’
Step 6: Submit the application and take a print out for future reference
