The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has announced the postponement of the ICAR JRF and SRF (PhD) counselling for the academic year 2024-25. According to the latest notification, the counselling for these programmes will now be conducted alongside the counselling for postgraduate (PG) courses in the Veterinary stream in January or February 2025.
The council confirms that the ongoing counselling for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) for PhD admissions has been paused. It will resume early next year, aligning with the Veterinary PG programmes. In addition, the deadline for completing the degree or Provisional Degree Certificate (PDC) for all PG programmes has been extended to January 15, 2025.
While the JRF and SRF (PhD) counselling has been delayed, the ICAR has confirmed that counselling for PG programs in fields other than Veterinary will continue as scheduled. Students applying to these programs should follow the original timetable.
Candidates are advised to keep an eye on the official ICAR website for further updates and detailed schedules for the rescheduled counselling sessions.
